Review: I usually go to Carpool, but decided to try Dave’s on Hull Street again because it’s much closer to my home in Moseley. I haven’t had the best experience in the past but wanted to try again for pure convenience. I even removed a negative review on Google and Yelp per the owner’s request a few years ago because he did pay to have the damage on my car fixed. It was only fair to remove it, as he said it was negatively impacting his business.I had a horrible experience today. First, there was a huge communication barrier that was frustrating for the person attempting to explain the services. However, I decided on the package that included washing my rubber floor mats. I came out to get my finished car and realized the floor mats had not been washed. I told the man, and he apologized that he forgot and immediately took my mats to be washed. No big deal; these things happen. The guy returned with my mats dripping wet and started to put them in my car. I asked him if they could dry them first. HE LOOKED AT ME, SHOOK HIS HEAD, AND LAUGHED! He then proceeded to take a cloth and quickly and inefficiently dry the mats. My dashboard showed where they ran a cloth across it but didn’t wipe most of the dashboard. My rims still had brake dust, and the guy said it wouldn’t come off. Granted, I realize that with cars that have break dust buildup, this can occur. However, my car is washed weekly and sometimes more often, so this is not the case with my car.The professionalism was horrible. As a previous business owner, I could not believe his response and actions. I would highly recommend taking the extra hike to Carpool. Now, they aren’t perfect either, but I have never experienced such blatant disrespect from an employee.
